Francesco Quatraro

Statement of Francesco Quatraro for the EAEPE Council election:

Francesco Quatraro (1977) is Deputy Director of the BRICK (Bureau of Research on Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge) at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, Research Fellow at the Department of Economics at the University of Torino and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the CNRS-GREDEG at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. His training is in Communication Studies (B.Sc. University of Torino, Italy). Subsequently he embarked on a Ph.D. in Economics of Innovation at the University of Torino, within the Vilfredo Pareto Doctoral School hosted at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, a leading international research institution. Francesco’s research focuses on the economics of knowledge, innovation and structural change, and regional economics. His interests span the interactions between the creation of new knowledge and the evolution of industries in regional contexts; the role of organisational and institutional changes; the role of networks in the generation and coordination of knowledge. His works on innovation and structural change and on the economics of knowledge structure have been published on leading international journals, like Regional Studies, the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Applied Economics and the Journal of Technology Transfer. He has taught classes in macroeconomics, microeconomics and economics of innovation and technological change. He stands as a candidate for the EAEPE council elections.
