Feminist economics is a dynamic and evolving field of intellectual inquiry that challenges traditional economic theory, uniquely situated at the intersection of economics, feminism, and philosophy. Scholars are re-conceptualising what economics is, what methodologies are appropriate for feminist research in economics, and what the relationship is between feminist theory and economics. Sessions at the annual EAEPE conference explore the relationship between gender as a complex set of institutions on the one hand and the economy and economics on the other hand. Sessions have been organised on feminist methodology, gender and evolutionary economics, gender in development economics, gendered institutions in labour markets, and are open to any other themes, such as gender in experimental economics and feminist trade theory.
