The EAEPE Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee

EAEPE’s strength comes from its appeal to diversity in understanding and creating change. Recognising, respecting and reproducing diversity are core practices in the association. EAEPE is working to realise the above statement through a range of new policies, initiatives and positions to improve diversity across the association.
The EAEPE EDI Value Statement

EAEPE’s EDI Committee works to put the EAEPE EDI Value Statement into practice. If you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to edi@eaepe.org

Current action points of the committee include:
  • Development of a long-term EDI strategy for EAEPE
  • Data collection on EDI issues among EAEPE members via surveys
  • Implementation of Codes of Conduct and guidelines for EAEPE events
  • Promoting events for young scholars, such as the pre-conference or the mentoring program

Ombudsperson

The EAEPE ombudsperson contributes to creating a structurally safer and more inclusive social environment for all members of the association and provides a point of contact for members to share complaints or suggestions (anonymously, if they wish) without approaching the EAEPE Council directly.
The ombudsperson further advises the EDI Council on the development of strategies and solutions to problems related to equality, diversity or inclusion from an independent perspective.
